Halfway through a horse-drawn carriage ride around the neighborhood, the driver turned to Andy Scott, a former farm boy, and asked “how long has it been since you’ve held leather in your hands?” Then the driver handed the reins to a surprised Scott, who was only too happy to take them. After the ride, Scott said that he assumed that his days behind a team of horses was over for good. “I never thought that I would get to do that again,” he said. “I really didn’t.”
