On September 12th, Kenneth Thayer will be honored by the king and queen of the Netherlands for his service in World War II. His division crossed over the Belgian border into the Netherlands. "[Kenneth] is revered by the people of the Netherlands,” a friend says. After the war, the Dutch gifted a cemetery to the U.S., where 8,203 American soldiers are buried. Kenneth says he is going to the Netherlands to represent all those men.
