When you ask associates and residents at Brookdale Colonial Heights about Stacie Robinson, they’ll tell you that she’s a leader at the community. She will do what’s right, no matter how difficult it may be.
Stacie serves as the community’s Health and Wellness Director overseeing the team of nurses and caregivers who work at the community. It’s an important and busy position, but Stacie still makes time to be there for her employees.
“We all have lives outside of work, and I always want to be someone who’s understanding,” Stacie said. “It’s important that we don’t take for granted what we have and what makes our business run.”
It’s that thoughtful attitude that helps Stacie stand out with her residents as well. She reflected on her interactions with a certain resident and explained that she and the woman instantly clicked, and built a relationship Stacie cherished.
“I always want to make sure that everything about my residents’ lives is the best it can be,” Stacie explained. “I think this is a great age group. We can learn so many different things from our residents, and they can change your life every day.”
When asked about any advice she’d have for a young nurse just starting out in Senior Living, Stacie said it’s important to remember who you’re serving.
She said the profession isn’t just about checking all the boxes; it’s about doing what you can to make others comfortable. Stacie feels it’s her responsibility to be there for those who need her, so every resident at her community can have the best possible quality of life.
