Brookdale continues to assess the status of communities. Our residents will continue to remain in their temporary accommodations until their home community has been cleared for return.
The Brookdale Asset Management teams and community restoration partners are working to help the evacuated communities return home as quickly as possible.
Residents who have evacuated with Brookdale to other communities or hotels will have the first priority for return, with a return by residents who evacuated with family within days thereafter.
As you’re aware, hurricane impact was greatest in limited areas – we’re seeing that too in the amount of damage reported for some of our communities being less than others, so the estimated return dates will vary. Returns have begun for a variety of communities, with some potentially taking up to one month, but the property assessments and restoration plans are still evolving.
Details will be communicated with residents and their contacts by the Executive Director of the community as soon as details are available.
