Leaders are most effective when they inspire and engage all associates, according to Brookdale President and CEO Cindy Baier. Baier was a panelist for “Leading Through Crisis” as part of the CEO Forum Group’s Transformative CEO Summit. Baier’s panel also included the CEOs of Kodak, NeuroLeadership Institute, Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.), and Buy Box Experts.
“Even during the most difficult times we maintained our focus on what matters most, the health and wellbeing of our residents and associates,” said Baier. “Everyone has a role to play in contributing to solutions during a crisis and beyond. Good ideas can come from anyone. We must include, engage with and listen to all associates at every level of the company.”
Baier said Brookdale’s focus on mission is vital to its success. Brookdale’s mission provides associates with a sense of purpose and creates a culture others want to join.
