This summer, a 103-year-old Brookdale resident dipped her toes back into the pool and rediscovered a lifelong passion for synchronized swimming.
The associates at Brookdale Hawthorn Lakes in Illinois discovered that one of their residents, Ms. Conchita Goldberg, was once a synchronized swimmer. Not only that, she toured internationally.
In discussing her passion for the sport, Conchita expressed her desire to give it another go, with the help of Brookdale associates.
The team at Brookdale Hawthorn Lakes jumped into action and contacted a nearby Brookdale community, Vernon Hills, to make her wish come true.
This July, at the age of 103, Conchita was back in the pool to experience synchronized swimming once again.
