Jessica Jones treats everyone the way she wants to be treated, and that’s why supporting her residents is important to her as Health and Wellness Director at The Solana Vintage Park in Houston, Texas.
“Trust is the basic foundation for everything I do,” shares Jessica. “Building trust is all about developing relationships and providing great customer service, and I believe this is done by being honest, providing education, listening to and collaborating with others.”
In just over a year with Brookdale, Jessica’s residents know she’s there to help them through life’s ups and downs. When Solana Vintage Park resident Patsy was diagnosed with breast cancer, Jessica was one of the first people she called. As soon as Jessica heard the news, she was there for Patsy – crying, praying, and discussing her options with her. When Patsy was asked why she called Jessica, she said, “It’s simple, because she’s so special.”
To be there for Patsy meant so much to Jessica, and really spoke to her about the meaningful relationships she’s built with her residents. Jessica’s Executive Director Denise Hoffman reiterates these sentiments. “Jessica is a wonderful nurse and Health and Wellness Director, and The Solana Vintage Park is blessed to have her on our team! The compassion she has in her heart for our residents shows every day, and her patience, kindness, advocacy and laughter have, without a doubt, won the love and trust of our residents.”
Being a trusted source of information, and having strong relationships is critical in providing high-quality care to her residents and families, says Jessica, “At times I need to have difficult conversations, and using my expertise to help folks through tough times means a lot to me. I partner with residents and family members to ensure they know I have their or their loved ones' best interest in mind, and I take pride in doing what’s right for each of my residents.”
Thank you Jessica for your passion for serving seniors, having the courage to do the right thing, and for living our mission every day.
