Brookdale Senior Living President and CEO Cindy Baier this week joined two other major Nashville-area company leaders for a candid panel discussion about the business need for diversity and inclusion (D&I). The Nashville Power Breakfast, moderated by Nashville Business Journal publisher Lori Becker, was part of an invitation-only series the NBJ hosts to connect top area business leaders and foster communication on important issues.
While we can’t tell you the details of what was covered in the off-the-record event, we can share that Baier participated because she feels D&I is an important business imperative. She says that diverse and inclusive organizations outperform their peers, make better decisions, and are better at solving complex problems, such as those presented by COVID-19.
Baier was joined on the panel by Ashlee Davis, Vice President and Senior Diversity & Inclusion Manager at AllianceBernstein, and Hal Lawton, President and CEO of Tractor Supply.
