In tough times, it’s good to know you’ve got relationships with others who care and step up to help!
Brookdale Senior Living’s Procurement Department worked long and hard these last few months to find and purchase the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) needed to help keep our residents, patients, and associates safe as the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic unfolded. The safety and well-being of our people is our highest priority so this became the Procurement Department’s main focus.
Brookdale has been delighted to see the generosity and thoughtfulness of some companies and individuals who have reached out to offer donations of PPE or to offer Brookdale help in locating or storing PPE, because they understand the importance of providing protection for our nation’s seniors. Of course, all donated products are carefully evaluated to ensure they meet Brookdale’s standards before being distributed to individual Brookdale communities.
Brookdale wants to thank these organizations for their time, efforts, resources, and PPE donations:
Bell Litho
Fidelity Offset
Gallagher Bassett
HD Supply
Stanley Black & Decker (STANLEY Healthcare)
WakeMed Health & Hospitals
Additionally, Brookdale would like to thank relatives of our Procurement associate Jordan Huff who made about 100 masks for residents of Brookdale Jones Farm, Huntsville, AL, including Jordan’s grandmother who lives there.
