McKnight’s Senior Living magazine recognized two Brookdale associates as “Women of Distinction” at an event in Chicago this week. Kim Elliott, senior vice president of clinical services, and Sarah Belmont, senior vice president of financial planning and analysis, are among the inaugural winners.
“It’s an honor to be recognized alongside these other women,” said Elliott. “I’ve spent my entire career in senior living and it’s been a privilege to watch the industry grow.”
McKnight’s created the “Women of Distinction” honors to “recognize those who have made a lasting contribution to the field, or who are early in a promising career.” Elliott is part of the Hall of Honor class which recognizes executive-level women who have made significant contributions to the senior housing and care fields. Belmont was recognized as a Rising Star, which honors women who are under 40, or who have less than 15 years of experience in the senior living industry.
“My career in senior living has allowed me to experience many different facets of the industry,” said Belmont. “I am humbled to be recognized as a Rising Star, I am excited to see what’s next for the residents we serve. It’s been a great experience to meet these other women who share my passion.”
