The team at Brookdale Green Hills Cumberland in Nashville, Tenn., created a very special evening on January 14th, when it welcomed the Tennessee chapter of “Women Corporate Directors”, or WCD, for an evening of hospitality and discussion. WCD is the world’s largest membership organization and community of women corporate board directors serving on both public and private boards. The group enjoyed a sumptuous meal prepared and served by Chef Thomas and the Cumberland’s experienced team.
After dinner, Brookdale’s CEO Cindy Baier, who is an experienced corporate board member herself, answered questions from moderator Jan Babiak and the audience. While discussion at WCD meetings is always confidential, we can tell you that the audience was thoroughly engaged as Cindy answered questions about her personal experiences serving on corporate boards as well as about the senior living industry in general and Brookdale in particular. Several attendees commented afterward on how valuable they found this visit to be.
