Fourteen military veterans gathered in a room at Brookdale Grayson View in Selinsgrove Friday afternoon to reminisce and receive thanks from staff and visitors.

Currently, Traverse is the head chef at Brookdale Saginaw. That’s where he met John “Butch” Doyle and they began swapping Navy stories but now mostly talk about food, Traverse said.
